Campbell County

Looks like quite a few of our readers think Mr. Hailey needs to resign. I think he needs to seriously look at what he has done and consider the public perception of having a spousal abuser on the council.

I also think there is a veritable shit storm about to hit Campbell County. The sludging is about to start out near Swinging Bridge road and anyone living in town will be drinking water that has sludge residue in it by the end of the year. Campbell County could have been proactive, like Halifax was, and stopped this problem before it started, but instead they chose to lie to the residents and ignore the problem.

What will Brookneal do to prevent our main source of drinking water from becoming a cess pool?
My guess is a big: NOTHING. I think this needs to be an election issue. I think all of the candidates need to step up and say whether they will do anything to protect the water supply. if they hem and haw and pretend it won't be effected then they need to go.

Has anyone found out anything about Mr. Shepperd yet?

Mr. Hailey will never resign. That would require character, which he is obviosly lacking!

As for the sludge and Campbell County, look at who you have on the board. A bunch of "good old boys" that dont' give a rat's behind about the citizens. They just care about making a buck and schmoozing up to the real politicians in Richmond.

Haven't heard a thing about Mr. Shepperd. Who is he? Why hasn't the newspaper done a story on him yet?

Who is Mr. Shepperd?

There was a picture of Mr. Shepperd in The Union Star awarding Guthrie's Hardware the Business of the Month from the Chamber of Commerce. He is president of the chamber and has a business in town. At least I have a face to go with the name.

I see that another business has closed in town.

Who is the new doctor? According to Relay Health Dr. Sharon Rielly is returning.

Okay, so I'll check out the Union Star so at least I'll know what Mr. Sheppard looks like.

What business closed? I had not heard anything about that.

And good news if it's true that Dr. Rielly is coming back.

Actually, according to the "Weekly Wiper", Mr Shepperd is President of the "Chamer" of Commerce.
The Star at its best!

I heard someone refer to the "Weekly Wiper" as the Weekly Mistake.

Is the Mr. Sheppherd running the same Sheppherd who lives on Willow Lawn? If so, he needs to be on council. His property is as neat as Mr. Jean's business, Mr. Adams' building which houses Mr. Jean's business, Ms. Meisenbach's unfinished house, and Mr. Jennings' property behind the cemetery.

My house was finished in 1896 and as far as I know there are no plans to add anything on to it. If you speaking of the one 14 X 20 section that is currently unpainted then you need to get a grip. We are working on an interior structural issue that is going to result in us removing exterior siding to fix part of the problem. I'm not going to paint the wall, rip it out and then repaint it.
Of course you're not really concerned about the reality of the issue, you just want to gripe and point fingers while hiding behind a fake name.
