The new police dog has only been on the job a few days and he's already been instrumental in the confiscation of some drugs and firearms. This is just what our town needs to help clean it up. Approving the grant to get this dog was one of the smartest things the town council has done.
I can only hope the drug pushers are on notice and choose to go somewhere else!

Wow! This is good news. Glad to see Brookneal is being proactive.
It is exciting. I haven't gotten to see the dog up close yet but I have seen him on patrol in the back of the police car.
Maybe this will keep the criminals on their toes!
It's nice to know we finally have all the police back on duty and the extra protection of a working police dog. I wish they'd come out to the park during the games. Some of the people hanging around the fringes are scary.
